Yum!
Wheatsville Coop started selling its self-branded donuts last weekend. As promised, I rushed over there to try them out. I was not disappointed.
As much as I loved Red Rabbit Cooperative Bakery’s donuts, I have to say that Wheatsville’s versions are so much better. Why? They are made in the South Lamar store. Guess which store we use? The South Lamar store!
The donuts are extremely fresh, soft, and pillowy. It’s like biting into a cloud. So far, I’ve tried the maple, coffee, chocolate, and sugar glazed varieties. It was a hard job, but someone had to do it.
My favorite is the maple, but I won’t turn down any of them. Yet to be tasted are the donut holes and the apple fritters. I expect them to be no less delicious.Speaking of Wheatsville, they just signed an agreement with Instacart, so now you can get groceries from Wheatsville delivered right to your door if you live within Instacart’s Austin delivery area.

I wonder if they would deliver a box of donuts?
