One year ago today, I posted my basic fudge recipe to MadSweetWorld.com. Woohoo!
I took a quick look at some Google analytics figures. In the last year, 1,460 vistors have viewed MadSweetWorld posts. I am amazed and grateful that so many of you gave me a chance. I have published 38 posts, including 11 fudge recipes and a smattering of other non-fudge items. Of all the recipes I’ve posted, though, the one that had the most hits was my chili recipe. Go figure. (I’m thrilled, actually. I love my chili recipe.)
I was forced to take a breather over the summer to deal with some lingering medical issues, but (fingers and toes crossed), they are mostly resolved now. I’m eager to get things started again. Lots of good things are going to happen in the coming year, and I’ve got a whole bunch of fun and weird fudge flavors whirling about in my head that I’m dying to try.
One of the first things coming up is the Byte of Texas conference that happens Sept. 27-28, 2014! Yours truly is presenting at the conference, which is sponsored by the Austin Food Blogger Alliance. If you want to see me next weekend, that’s where I’ll be. I’ll be talking about WordPress plugins. (I’ll try to make it fun and interesting, but if you want, you can just hang out and take an afternoon nap. I don’t mind.)
Tickets for the conference are still available. You can also get day passes if you can’t make the full weekend, or even a ticket for Saturday dinner if all you want to do is hang out with a bunch of cool food bloggers. (Trust me, food bloggers are the best people to hang out with!)
So hang on, folks, the MadSweetWorld Fudge Train is about to chug out of the station, and it’s going to be a sweet ride!
